Job Summary
Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, accurately position patients for immobilization, and verify treatment plans and dosage with the oncology team. Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy while documenting treatments and maintaining accurate patient records. Requires Linac treatment experience, including setting up and imaging patients. Shift hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with possible variations to 4:30 PM depending on patient load; no weekends or call requirements. This travel assignment is located in Springfield, Missouri, offering access to local attractions and outdoor spaces.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program
- AART Certification in Radiation Therapy
- Valid Radiation Therapy state license, if required
- 2 years' experience as a radiation therapist
- BLS from AHA only
- ARRT and RRA
- 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience in a hospital
- Linac treatment experience, including setting up patients and imaging patients
- Shift hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Schedule may also be 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM depending on patient load
