Job Summary
Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist while interacting with patients, physicians, nurses, and family members. Possess strong interpersonal communication skills to explain department functions and the rationale for radiation therapy use to diverse staff and the public. Care for all age groups from newborns through geriatrics. Maintain current Basic Life Support certification and hold ARRT registration as a Radiation Therapist. Work eight-hour shifts from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT Registered Therapist
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
- knowledge of department functions, how and why radiation therapy is used, and be able to explain this to nurses, physicians, Medical Center staff, and the public
- High School Diploma or GED
- 8am 5pm, Monday through Friday
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a Radiation Oncology Department
