Job Summary
Delivers prescribed radiation therapy doses by verifying prescriptions, diagnosis charts, and patient identification while explaining procedures and observing safety measures. Prepares treatment rooms and equipment for immobilization devices, transfers patients to the couch, and monitors for unusual reactions or complications during treatment. Maintains daily treatment records, reviews patient charts to ensure accuracy in blood counts and reports, and provides clinical supervision for student practical abilities. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T)
- Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT)
- ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)
- Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification (TRT)
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent
- Master's Degree
- Experience in radiologic technology
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor
- Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice, Department of Health Services
