Job Summary
Delivers prescribed radiation therapy doses by verifying prescriptions, diagnosis charts, and patient identification while explaining procedures and observing safety measures. Prepares treatment rooms and equipment, immobilizes patients, and transfers them to the couch. Monitors patients for unusual reactions or complications, reporting findings to supervisors and physicians. Maintains daily treatment records and reviews patient charts to ensure accuracy. Provides clinical supervision and evaluates students' practical abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T)
- Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT)
- ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)
- Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification (TRT)
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology
- Master's Degree
- Experience in radiologic technology
- CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice, Department of Health Services
