Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology

Administer ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians. Deliver prescribed daily doses while observing radiation safety measures for patient and personnel. Prepare room and equipment for patient treatment, transfer patients to the couch, and explain procedures and communication methods. Observe patients for unusual reactions or developing complications, reporting findings to the supervisor and physician. Maintain daily treatment records, review patient charts to eliminate errors, and ensure blood counts and special reports are properly recorded. Provide clinical supervision and evaluate students' practical ability to perform procedures.
