Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology Clinic

Job Summary

Conduct radiation therapy procedures, dose calculations, and routine consistency checks on treatment machines and simulators five days a week. Perform daily warm-up and start-up procedures, execute quality control checks, and construct patient treatment aids including bolus material and immobilization devices. Schedule patients for daily treatments, maintain patient EMR information, and communicate pertinent details regarding appointments and skin care to patients and families. Maintain room cleanliness, linens, and supplies while coordinating equipment repairs and addressing adverse conditions. Work an evening shift with potential overtime and call-backs required by the center.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy plus 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment OR Bachelor's degree
  • Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a radiation therapist with an accredited program of radiation therapy technology
  • Current Licensure as a Radiation Therapist with the Arkansas Department of Health
  • Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Annual TB Screening
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Substance Abuse Testing
