Job Summary
The Radiation Oncology Therapist administers radiation treatments to patients under the Radiation oncologist’s direction, ensuring treatments follow the physician’s prescription and leveraging chart data. The role schedules simulation and treatment appointments, codes patient charges with proper billing codes, and maintains/monitors equipment (simulator, treatment machines, film processor) while notifying a supervisor of any improprieties. Requires ARRT registration or registry eligibility, graduation from an AMA-approved radiation oncology technology program with a one-year certificate, and current AHA CPR certification. Required Qualifications
- Must be ARRT registered or registry eligible
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiation oncology technology with one year certificate in Radiation Therapy required
- Current AHA CPR certification required
