Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology

Job Summary
Delivers prescribed courses of radiation therapy by verifying prescriptions, diagnosis charts, and patient identification while explaining procedures and observing safety measures. Prepares treatment rooms and equipment, transfers patients to the couch, and monitors for unusual reactions or developing complications. Maintains daily treatment records and patient charts to ensure accuracy and report any complications to the supervisor and physician. Provides clinical supervision and evaluates students' practical abilities. Requires AART-T and TRT certifications, a Bachelor's or Master's degree, and CPR/BLS certification. Full-time position with on-call rotation available.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) and Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT)
- ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)
- Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification (TRT)
- All required vaccinations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's)
- Master's Degree
- Experience in radiologic technology
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice, Department of Health Services
