Job Summary
Delivers prescribed radiation therapy doses to patients by verifying prescriptions, charts, and identification while explaining procedures and observing safety measures. Prepares treatment rooms and equipment for immobilization devices, transfers patients to the couch, and monitors for unusual reactions or complications during treatment. Maintains daily treatment records, reviews patient charts to prevent errors, and ensures accurate documentation of blood counts and reports. Provides clinical supervision and evaluates students' practical abilities to perform procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T)
- Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT)
- ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)
- Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification (TRT)
- Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice, Department of Health Services
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent
- Master's Degree
- Experience in radiologic technology
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
