Job Summary
Delivers prescribed radiation therapy to patients, answers questions, and explains procedures while assisting with tumor localization and dosimetry. Prepares rooms and equipment, stocks supplies, and reviews images for physician approval before initiating treatment. Interfaces with physicists and imaging personnel to simulate and start therapy, reinforcing physician recommendations on side effects and care. Performs chart checks for weekly rounds and participates in educational programs to enhance professional growth. Must maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to Just Culture principles. Requires ARRT certification with Radiation Therapy specialty and BLS. Hourly pay ranges from $41.72 to $57.56.
Required Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Radiation Therapy (T) specialty required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred
- TrueBeam and Aria experience preferred
- Detail oriented and proactive in navigating patients' courses of treatment
