Job Summary
Administer radiation therapy by exposing specific patient areas to prescribed doses while accurately positioning patients and selecting anatomic parameters. Collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists to deliver treatment plans, maintain detailed session records, and adjust equipment including the linear accelerator. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards, submit high-quality images to PACS with correct markers and data, and maintain a clean, safe department environment. Work in a constant state of alertness while performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Radiation Oncology program
- ARRT-T credential
- Associate's degree or completion of a radiation certification program
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-T Radiation Therapy - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Radiation Therapist - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
