Job Summary
PRN day-shift Radiation Therapist responsible for applying ionizing radiation to patients under the prescription of a radiation oncologist, ensuring accurate dose delivery and field reproduction. Performs quality control, safety, treatment planning, and administration, with patient scheduling and potential mentorship of less experienced staff or students during clinical rotations. Requires high standards in radiation therapy operations and knowledge of equipment, mathematical treatment planning, and beam modifying devices.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Registered RT (T) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Registry eligibility
- Must pass exam within three months of hire date for Registry eligible candidates
- RT (T) license as issued by the Indiana State Department of Health
- Current BLS certification
