Radiation Therapist (Outpatient) - Full Time

Job Summary
Delivers prescribed radiation therapy doses by checking prescriptions, diagnosis charts, and patient identification before treatment. Prepares equipment and immobilization devices, transfers patients to the treatment couch, and explains communication methods during procedures. Monitors patients for unusual reactions or complications, reporting findings to supervisors and physicians immediately. Maintains daily treatment records, reviews patient charts to prevent errors, and ensures accurate documentation of blood counts and special reports. Provides clinical supervision and evaluates students' practical abilities to perform procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) and Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT)
- ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)
- Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification (TRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice, Department of Health Services
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's)
- Master's Degree
- Experience in radiologic technology
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
