Radiation Therapist (Outpatient) - Full Time

Job Summary
Administer ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians. Deliver prescribed daily doses while observing radiation safety measures for patient and personnel. Prepare room and equipment for patient, transfer patient to treatment couch, and explain procedures and communication means. Observe patients for unusual reactions or complications, reporting findings to supervisor and physician. Maintain daily treatment records and review patient charts to ensure accuracy. Provide clinical supervision and evaluate students' practical ability to perform procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) and Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT)
- ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)
- Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification (TRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice, Department of Health Services
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's)
- Master's Degree
- Experience in radiologic technology
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
