Job Summary
Radiation Therapist administers prescribed radiation treatments, prepares treatment rooms and equipment, ensures precise treatment delivery and detailed record-keeping, monitors patients during therapy, and reports unusual reactions to the oncologist. The role requires adherence to quality assurance and safety standards, verification of prescriptions and treatment plans, ongoing training and licensure, and collaboration with the oncology team. Eligible candidates include new graduates; compensation includes enhanced sign-on bonuses and relocation benefits. The position is full-time, Monday–Friday days, with EPIC electronic charting, and requires an Associate Degree with graduation from a JRCERT-accredited radiation therapy program or suitable equivalent, NM Radiography Tech (NMRTT) certification, and licensure within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited program in radiation therapy or suitable equivalent
- NM Radiography Tech (NMRTT)
- Certified and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy
- Must be certified and licensed by the New Mexico Environment Department’s Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program within 30 days of hire
