Job Summary
Administer safe and accurate radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the oncologist, ensuring precision and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and patient set-up aids while verifying prescriptions, treatment plans, and documentation for accuracy. Monitor patients during therapy, report unusual reactions, and maintain detailed records in compliance with departmental quality assurance and safety standards. Maintain competency through ongoing training, seminars, and licensure requirements. Collaborate effectively with team members and demonstrate initiative in patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree
- Must be a graduate of a JRCERT accredited program in radiation therapy or a suitable equivalent
- NM Radiography Tech (NMRTT)
- Certified and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy
- Must be certified and licensed by the New Mexico Environment Department's Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program within 30 days of hire
