Job Summary
Provide individualized radiation therapy treatments to cancer patients in consultation with the oncology team. Operate and troubleshoot imaging and treatment equipment, and ensure accurate delivery of prescribed radiotherapy. Explain procedures to patients, monitor responses and side effects, and coordinate follow-up visits. Perform quality assurance on simulation and treatment machines, uphold strict safety protocols, and support patients and families throughout the treatment process. Demonstrate documentation accuracy, professional communication, and the ability to adapt plans as needed within a clinical oncology setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program
- Registered or eligible for registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in the Radiation Therapy field.
- Associate or College degree required.
