Job Summary
Interpret radiation oncology prescriptions and deliver simulation and treatment summaries while administering ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes. Perform simulation procedures, prepare immobilization devices, and obtain accurate measurements for dosimetry. Assess treatment machines, execute daily warm-ups, and conduct quality assurance checks. Assist in clinical training for student therapists and provide basic patient care, education, and monitoring for treatment symptoms. Schedule and treat patients timely, deliver accurate daily billing, and maintain effective communication with the clinical team.
Required Qualifications
- Radiology Tech License in the state of practice, if applicable
- Certification in Radiation Therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
