Job Summary
Interpret and implement radiation treatment prescriptions while delivering simulation procedures, preparing immobilization devices, and charting treatment summaries. Perform daily equipment warm-ups and quality assurance checks, then assess treatment machines and monitor patient progress for signs of symptoms. Assist with patient education, provide accurate daily billing information, and schedule treatments in a timely manner. Support clinical training and evaluation of student therapists as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Radiology Tech License in the state of practice, if applicable
- Certification in Radiation Therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
