Job Summary
Interpret radiation therapy prescriptions and implement treatment plans while delivering and charting simulation summaries. Perform simulation procedures, prepare immobilization devices, and obtain accurate measurements for dosimetry. Assess treatment machines, execute daily warm-ups, and conduct quality assurance checks. Assist in clinical training for student therapists and provide basic patient care, education, and progress monitoring. Schedule and treat patients timely, deliver accurate daily billing information, and demonstrate effective communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Radiology Tech License in the state of practice, if applicable
- Certification in Radiation Therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
