Job Summary
Administer ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes per Radiation Oncologist prescriptions, managing patient simulation and treatment summaries. Perform simulation procedures, prepare immobilization devices, and obtain accurate measurements for dosimetry. Assess treatment machines, execute daily warm-ups, and conduct quality assurance checks. Deliver basic patient care during treatment, monitor clinical progress, and provide patient education. Assist in clinical training for student therapists and submit accurate daily billing information. Schedule and treat patients in a timely, professional manner.
Required Qualifications
- Radiology Tech License in the state of practice, if applicable
- Certification in Radiation Therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
