Job Summary
Interpret and implement radiation treatment prescriptions while delivering and charting simulation and treatment summaries. Perform simulation procedures, prepare immobilization devices, and obtain accurate measurements for dosimetry. Assess treatment machines, execute daily equipment warm-ups, and conduct quality assurance checks. Assist in clinical training and evaluate student therapists. Provide basic patient care during treatment delivery, monitor clinical progress for symptoms, and deliver patient education. Submit accurate daily billing information and schedule patient treatments timely.
Required Qualifications
- Radiology Tech License in the state of practice, if applicable
- Certification in Radiation Therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
