Job Summary
Interpret and implement radiation treatment prescriptions, delivering and charting simulation and treatment summaries. Perform simulation procedures, prepare immobilization devices, and obtain accurate measurements for dosimetry. Assess treatment machines, execute daily equipment warm-ups, and conduct quality assurance procedures. Assist in clinical training and evaluate student therapists. Monitor patient progress for treatment symptoms and provide accurate daily billing information. Schedule and treat patients in a timely, professional manner while delivering basic patient care and education.
Required Qualifications
- Radiology Tech License in the state of practice, if applicable
- Certification in Radiation Therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
