Job Summary
Interpret and implement radiation treatment prescriptions, delivering simulation and therapy while charting summaries. Perform immobilization procedures, obtain dosimetry measurements, and execute daily equipment warm-ups and quality assurance checks. Assess treatment machines, assist in clinical training, and monitor patient progress for treatment symptoms. Provide accurate daily billing and schedule patient treatments in a timely manner. Maintain effective communication with patients and providers while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Radiology Tech License in the state of practice, if applicable
- Certification in Radiation Therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
