Job Summary
Interpret treatment plans and deliver ionizing radiation therapy for therapeutic purposes while simulating patients in preparation for treatment. Perform simulation procedures, prepare immobilization devices, and obtain accurate measurements for dosimetry. Assess treatment machines, execute daily warm-ups, and conduct quality assurance checks. Assist in clinical training, monitor patient progress, and provide education on treatment symptoms. Schedule and treat patients timely, deliver accurate billing information, and maintain effective communication with the clinical team.
Required Qualifications
- Radiology Tech License in the state of practice, if applicable
- Certification in Radiation Therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
