Job Summary
Interpret and implement radiation treatment prescriptions, delivering and charting all simulation and treatment summaries. Perform simulation procedures, prepare immobilization devices, and obtain accurate measurements for dosimetry. Assess treatment machines, perform daily equipment warm-ups, and quality assurance checks. Assist in clinical training and evaluate student therapists. Monitor patients during treatment delivery, observe clinical progress for symptoms, and provide basic patient care and education. Schedule and treat patients timely while providing accurate daily billing information.
Required Qualifications
- Radiology Tech License in the state of practice, if applicable
- Certification in Radiation Therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
