Job Summary
Interpret radiation oncologist prescriptions and deliver simulation and treatment summaries for patients. Perform immobilization device preparation, obtain accurate measurements for dosimetry, and execute daily equipment warm-ups and quality assurance checks. Assess treatment machines, assist in clinical training evaluations, and monitor patient progress for signs of treatment symptoms. Provide basic patient care, educate patients, and submit accurate daily billing information. Schedule and treat patients in a timely manner while maintaining effective communication with clinical teams and visitors.
Required Qualifications
- Radiology Tech License in the state of practice, if applicable
- Certification in Radiation Therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy, Education must be obtained from an accredited institution, Degree will be verified
