Job Summary
Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using a linear accelerator, verify treatment dose and fields, place protective devices to shield healthy tissue, simulate patients with CT/scanner to localize treatment areas, maintain detailed treatment charts, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the Radiation Oncologist and therapy team to prepare treatment plans while adhering to radiation safety procedures and reporting any abnormalities.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT Board eligible
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy technology
- Certification in Radiation Therapy Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- 4+ years of experience in a Radiation Therapist role
