Job Summary
Radiation Therapist I at Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. The role involves applying ionizing radiation to patients according to the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription, working 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM) with occasional weekend/holiday on-call. Requires ARRT (T) certification and BLS; High School Diploma or GED; 1–2 years of experience preferred; ARRT in Radiation Oncology (registry eligible within 6 months) and BLS are required. Provides patient care, collaborates with the clinical team, and participates in skills validation and competency testing. Sign-on bonus may be offered.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a Radiation Therapist - ARRT (T) and BLS
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: One to two years of applicable experience, preferred
- Licensure/Certification: ARRT in Radiation Oncology (registry eligible with 6 months to obtain certification), required
- BLS, required
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing
