Job Summary
Delivers consistent precise therapy to designated treatment areas while operating radiation-producing equipment and performing complex technical procedures. Simulates new patients and manages patient assessments, including fall precautions, ensuring all treatments align with physician prescriptions and physicist instructions. Documents procedures in the Electronic Medical Record, educates patients on side effects and treatment aids, and participates in on-call rotation. Assists with quality control monitoring, daily warm-up procedures, and student clinical instruction for RTT and RTR students. Adheres to universal precautions, wears safety badges, and reports adverse reactions or equipment discrepancies immediately.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT-T - ARRT Radiation Therapy
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- must be graduate of accredited radiation therapy program
- Minimum 2 years Experience in Radiation Therapy Preferred
