Job Summary
Conduct tumor localization and CT simulations, then perform external beam radiation therapy treatments using the linear accelerator. Explain treatment plans to patients, answer questions, and monitor for unusual reactions while ensuring safety procedures protect both staff and patients from overexposure. Prepare treatment rooms by transferring and positioning patients, use image-guided technology to determine exact target locations, and cross-check delivery parameters against treatment plans. Perform daily quality assurance checks on machines, deliver prescribed dosages, maintain detailed records, and complete required continuing education. Located in our South Tampa office with occasional coverage in Riverview.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy school
- Current/valid Florida Radiation Therapy license
- Accreditation by American Registry of Radiologic Technology
- CPR certification
- Minimum three years of relevant work experience
- Proficient in Aria
- Maintains current licensures and certifications along with yearly continuing education and recertification as required
