Job Summary
Radiation Therapist-Expert (Part-time, 0.50 FTE) provides direct patient care in Radiation Oncology, administering safe radiation therapy and ensuring accurate treatment/delivery. Responsibilities include preparing equipment and room setup, operating radiation-emitting units with dexterity, monitoring patients for reactions, explaining procedures to patients and families, and referring to allied health professionals as needed. Maintains quality assurance, documents treatment records, and stays within competency guidelines. Requires completion of a JRCERT-accredited program, ARRT certification, and NM licensure within 30 days of hire; compensation offered for day shifts in Clovis, NM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program in radiation therapy
- Certified and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy
- Licensed by the New Mexico Environment Departments Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program within 30 days of hire
