Job Summary
Administer ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians. Deliver prescribed radiation therapy by checking prescriptions, diagnosis charts, and patient identification. Prepare rooms and equipment for treatment, immobilize patients, and transfer them to the treatment couch while attending to special needs. Observe patients for unusual reactions and report complications to supervisors and physicians. Provide clinical supervision and evaluate students' practical abilities during training. Maintain fluoroscopy permits and ARRT-T certification as required. Full-time position with annual vaccinations and religious exemptions available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T)
- Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor
- Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice
- ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) certification
- All required vaccinations
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
