Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, patient triage, and ongoing monitoring for patients undergoing radiation therapy. Manage oncology nursing principles, radiation therapy treatment processes, symptom management, and supportive care interventions. Maintain current Iowa RN licensure, AHA BLS certification, and ACLS certification within organizational requirements. Minimum two years of nursing experience required, with oncology and radiation oncology experience strongly preferred. This role supports the radiation oncology team by ensuring safe delivery of treatment protocols and patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current registration and licensure in the state of Iowa as an RN
- Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS certification
- Ability to perform comprehensive nursing assessments
- Ability to perform patient triage
- Ability to perform ongoing monitoring of patients undergoing radiation therapy
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- oncology and/or radiation oncology experience
- Current ACLS certification
