Job Summary
Deliver inpatient radiation oncology services on a day shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no call requirements. Evaluate patient candidacy for radiation therapy, communicate treatment benefits and side effects, and oversee delivery of targeted high-energy radiation using Linear Accelerators including Varian, Siemens, and Elekta systems. Complete all patient documentation through EPIC EMR while collaborating with the care team to develop individualized treatment plans. This assignment supports coordinated cancer care delivery at a Southern Kentucky facility serving an adult population, with variable case load and zero new consults.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification
- Experience with Linear Accelerators
- Experience with Varian systems
- Experience with Siemens systems
- Experience with Elekta systems
- Ability to provide inpatient radiation oncology services
- Ability to oversee radiation therapy treatments
- Ability to collaborate with the care team to develop individualized treatment plans
- Ability to determine patient candidacy for radiation therapy
