Job Summary
Conduct radar performance analysis, waveform experimentation, and system capability investigations using Raytheon Engineering processes. Generate trade studies, statistical models, and performance predictions for complex systems while participating in peer reviews to resolve technical problems. Interface with team leads and engineers daily to deliver novel radar waveforms and innovative work products through customer and program presentations. Provide Subject Matter Expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the algorithm engineering group. Requires Top Secret clearance, 8+ years in radar mode/skill development, and proficiency in C/C++ and MATLAB. Onsite role in Plano, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 8 years of prior experience in radar mode/skill development and radar system integration
- Experience in radar mode/skill development and radar system integration
- UNIX/Linux and demonstrated computer programming skills in C or C++ and using MATLAB or Python for data analysis
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date
Desired Qualifications
- Active Top-Secret clearance with investigation within five years
- Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Mathematical modeling and analytical problem-solving
- Experience in the development, testing, and troubleshooting of radar and RF hardware
- Background in radar test planning, execution, and related processes
- Ability to lead and manage a small technical team of three or more individuals
