Job Summary
Radar Engineer focusing on co-development and design analysis of multiple advanced, first-of-a-kind, ground-based radar systems in collaboration with partner vendors. Responsibilities include proposing, researching, and documenting realizable solutions from modeling and simulation of radar processing and self-protection techniques; interfacing with program sponsors and customers to understand priorities and share analysis results; participating in design reviews and program status meetings as a presenter or reviewer; providing critical design feedback and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team within an agile environment; located at Wright Patterson AFB with commutable distance to nearby locales. Requires experience in radar/RF systems, strong communication skills, self-motivation, teamwork, and security clearances (SECRET; eligible for TS/SCI). Proficiency in Python and MATLAB is preferred, along with experience in radar components, antennas, phasing, and RF test equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Radar or RF systems
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Self-starter – takes the initiative to research, learn, and deliver
- Team player – humble, collaborative, focused on making sure the entire team succeeds
- CLEARANCE: Minimum Secret clearance is required to start
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with advanced security checks
- Preferred: 3+ years experience scripting and coding signal processing and radar domain problems with Python, MATLAB and MATLAB Toolboxes
- Preferred: 3+ years experience with analog, digital, and Radar/RF electronic components, antennas, phased arrays, digital radar
- Preferred: 3+ years experience with RF test equipment
