Job Summary

Perform radiographic exams ordered by physicians, positioning patients under X-ray machines and adjusting immobilization devices while adhering to ALARA principles. Assist physicians with procedures, EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections, then prepare reports, maintain radiological film files, and consolidate logs against received referrals. Operate X-ray equipment, manage supplies, and practice OSHA safety standards while documenting services legally and ethically. Maintain effective systems to ensure timely patient flow and collaborate with physicians, center leaders, and front office staff. Requires travel up to 30% of the time to cover multiple centers, with flexibility for evening, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited program for Radiological Technology
  • Basic X-Ray Machine Operator
  • A minimum of 1 year x-ray technologist work experience in a healthcare environment
  • Licensed and/or certified if required by state regulations
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AMA) or American Red Cross
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and/or nationally to cover multiple centers up to 30% of the time
  • Flexible to work evening, weekends and/or holidays as needed
  • Spoken and written fluency in English

Desired Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • 2 years x-ray technologist work experience in a healthcare environment
  • EMR system experience
  • Competent-level business acuity
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of medical products and general/core job-related functions, practices, processes, procedures, techniques and methods
  • Excellent oral written and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy of reports and data
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with team members, including but not limited to physicians, center and area leaders, care team members and front office staff
  • Mindset focused on solving problems for patients and achieving team goals
  • Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
  • Ability to act calmly in busy or stressful situations
  • Proficient skill in Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Competent in other systems required for the position
