Job Summary
Perform interventional and special procedures using fluoroscopy and radiography while verifying informed consent, preparing patients, and providing post-procedure instructions. Apply proper positioning and immobilization techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images, assist physicians during procedures, and maintain and clean imaging equipment. Manage dosimetry badges and PPE, educate staff on radiation safety and ALARA principles, and support inventory control for interventional supplies. Perform hemostasis protocols, assist with conscious sedation monitoring, and review completed exams for technical accuracy. Adhere to facility protocols for scheduling, workflow coordination, and staff training. Requires ARRT certification, BCLS within 30 days, and 2-4 years of radiologic technologist experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in special procedures, interventional radiology, or ambulatory surgical settings
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
