Job Summary
Operate radiographic equipment to produce consistent quality images while adhering to infection control and radiation safety protocols. Assess patients for exams, review prior films and lab values, screen for pregnancy, and provide pertinent education. Maintain patient records, utilize RIS and CPAC systems accurately, and document complications or IV infiltrates. Perform non-technical duties including stocking rooms, transporting patients, and cleaning cassettes. Work independently under the direction of a Radiologist and Supervisor, with a preference for one year of experience and ARRT registry eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT Registry or Registry eligible with 1 year to provide proof of registered status
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate or graduation eligible of accredited ARRT Program
- Competence to perform quality radiographic procedures
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Proficient computer skills necessary to operate computer systems used on unit, and Microsoft Office Products
- Ability to work independently and effectively with others
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to carry 50 lbs
- Must have heavy vision
- Must be able to kneel, stoop, or bend frequently
- Must be able to stand or walk constantly
- Must be able to push or pull frequently
- Must be able to read
- Must be able to write
- Must be able to reason
