Job Summary
Perform radiographic and CT procedures requiring independent judgment, applying radiation protection principles and initiating life support when needed. Identify patients using two identifiers, maintain professional rapport with medical staff and patients, and adhere to facility safety rules, HIPAA regulations, and OSHA procedures. Complete orientation and competency milestones within 7 and 90 days of hire. Requires current AART registration, CPR certification, and an Associate of Applied Sciences degree.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiology Technology
- Current CPR certification or successful completion of Basic Life Support within 60 days of employment
- Currently registered and in good standing with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
- Associate of Applied Sciences Degree minimum
- Must be able to pass drug screens, both pre-employment and throughout duration of employment
- Must be able to see with corrective eyewear
- Must be able to hear clearly with assistance
- Must be able to handle emergency or crisis situations
Desired Qualifications
- Good Communication skills with ability to communicate appropriately with all age groups
- Ability to perform under stress and cope with difficult situations
- Good time management and organizational skills to complete patient care
- Must be knowledgeable of department equipment supplies and instrumentation, including CT
- Must be able to develop a working relationship with medical staff
