Job Summary
Conduct radiological procedures under the Medical Director's direction, including limited patient monitoring, specialized imaging, and portable X-rays. Perform QA and QI studies, manage patient scheduling, and monitor crash carts while maintaining equipment calibration. Utilize Cerner and McKesson PACS systems to complete studies and troubleshoot issues independently. Administer contrast under supervision, practice sterile technique, and collaborate with physicians and staff. Work nights from 7:30pm to 7:00am with limited supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Limited monitoring of patients during procedures
- Performing some Specialized Radiologic procedures according to departmental protocols
- Working in various areas and with various equipment
- Assisting with QA and QI studies
- Patient scheduling
- Crash cart monitoring
- Learning and performing with the Cerner information system
- Completing studies in the McKesson PACS system
- Solving PACS during the shift
- Completing all portable Xrays ordered ready for shift
- Using independent judgment and necessary skills in obtaining the best diagnostic images
- Maintaining and monitoring equipment operation and calibration
- Assisting in maintaining relationships with physicians and staff
- Assisting the Radiologist with contrast administration
- Practicing sterile technique
