Job Summary
Performs various technical radiologic procedures assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating patients' illnesses and injuries. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, ensuring comfort, obtaining informed consent, following safety and quality protocols, operating radiologic equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and order of work areas. Requires RTR licensure, ARRT certification, and BLS certification, with an emphasis on effective patient communication and adherence to established policies.
Required Qualifications
- RTR licensure in the Commonwealth Massachusetts, including a temporary (1 year) MA license.
- ARRT certification in Radiology is required within 12 months from date of hire.
- BLS certification.
Desired Qualifications
- Some specialty modalities may require additional formal training and certification.
- Maintain all area specific CEUs for ARRT, DPH according to regulation.
