Job Summary
Rad Tech II MRI role performing and monitoring MRI procedures. Under supervision of the Unit Coordinator MRI, you will supervise and perform MRI procedures on assigned shift, with potential for call back and overtime. Proficient use of MRI equipment; ensure high-quality MRI procedures for patients of all ages according to established protocol; reconcile and process images in PACS; provide explanations and education to patients and families; screen patients for MRI contraindications; prepare rooms and supplies; conduct daily calibration and QC measures; administer contrast media as required; operate RIS; contribute to a positive team climate and CAN DO attitude; provide safety education to high-risk departments; may perform related responsibilities as directed. Location: Jackson General, United States of America; Shift: 8 - Day; Part-time employment with West Tennessee Healthcare; must comply with vaccination requirements or obtain exemption as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Formal education program in Radiologic Technology (ARRT accredited)
- Current CPR certification
- Registered or registry eligible with ARRT; must be registered within one year of employment
- Proficiency in performing MRI
- Proven ability to operate MRI equipment and supervise MRI procedures as assigned
- Ability to reconcile, acquire and process images in the Radiology PACS setting
- Strong patient education and safety communication skills
- Experience with RIS is preferred or required
