Job Summary
Operate radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays and CT scans, preparing and positioning patients accurately while ensuring safety and comfort. Review images for quality and clarity, collaborating with radiologists to meet diagnostic standards and maintain detailed patient records in compliance with regulations. Adhere to radiation safety protocols, participate in ongoing training, and communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team. Work a mix of weekend overnights and days in a 36-hour shift at Ellett Memorial Hospital, a critical access facility providing emergency and extended care services in Appleton City, Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Certification and licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the United States (ARRT certification required)
- Additional ARRT CT credentials
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to radiologic procedures
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols to ensure patient safety and image quality
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members
- Mix of weekend overnights & days
- 36 hour shift
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital imaging software
- Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical setting
- Continuing education in radiation safety and emerging imaging technologies
- Previous Radiologic Technology experience preferred
