Job Summary
Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within radiography and computed tomography under supervision. Conduct patient assessments, correlate findings with exam requests, and document data within the EHR. Educate patients, position them, and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare, and administer pharmaceuticals related to exams. Select technical factors and parameters to produce quality images while applying ALARA principles to minimize exposure. Evaluate images for technical quality and assist physicians in performing procedures. This night shift role at Charlton Memorial Hospital includes weekend and holiday rotations with on-call responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Attainment of primary certification within one year of eligibility
- Post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Computed Tomography, RT(CT)
- Post-primary certification in the advanced practice discipline of CT is required for RTs within one year of eligibility
- Per RT licensure in MA or RI
- Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus
- Exemption from vaccination requirement by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- Every other weekend rotation
- Every other holiday rotation
