Job Summary
Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within radiography and computed tomography under the supervision of the Manager. Conduct patient assessments, correlate clinical findings with exam requests, and obtain pertinent information from charts to document data within the EHR. Educate patients for exams, position them, and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare, and administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam. Select technical factors and parameters to produce quality images, properly identify anatomy, and evaluate images for technical quality while applying ALARA principles and MR safety practices. Assist physicians in performing procedures. This role requires primary and post-primary CT certification, current RT licensure in Massachusetts or Rhode Island, and BLS certification. The position offers a $12,000 sign-on bonus and includes evening shifts from 3:00pm to 11:00pm with weekend and holiday rotation at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Attainment of primary certification within one year of eligibility
- Post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Computed Tomography, RT(CT)
- Post-primary certification in the advanced practice discipline of CT is required for RTs within one year of eligibility
- Per RT licensure in MA or RI
- Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus
- To be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
