Job Summary
Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within radiography and computed tomography under the supervision of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services. Conduct patient assessments, correlate clinical findings with exam requests, and obtain pertinent information from patient charts to document data within the EHR. Educate patients for exams, position them, and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare, and administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam or procedure. Select technical factors and parameters to produce quality images, properly identify anatomy, and evaluate images for technical quality while applying ALARA principles to minimize exposure. Assist physicians in performing procedures. This role requires post-primary certification in CT within one year of eligibility and current RT licensure in Massachusetts or Rhode Island. The position offers a $15,000 new hire sign-on bonus and is located at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Attainment of primary certification within one year of eligibility
- Post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Computed Tomography, RT(CT)
- Post-primary certification in the advanced practice discipline of CT is required for RTs within one year of eligibility
- RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island
- Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus
- Exemption from vaccination requirement via signed statement certifying choice to be exempt once hired
- Availability for every other weekend
- Availability for rotating holiday schedule
