Job Summary
Operate material handling equipment and warehouse management systems to build pallets, receive product, put away items in fill locations, and replenish slots. Utilize forklifts, jack lifts, and powered industrial trucks to support product movement throughout the facility while adhering to safety protocols in cold, hot, and humid environments. Perform physically demanding tasks involving repetitive lifting, standing on concrete or platforms, and working around animal blood or carcass parts. Work a scheduled shift with potential overtime requirements.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Willingness and ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to perform a task requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms
- Ability to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift
- Ability to work around animal blood and/or carcass parts
- Ability to work in cold areas (approximately 20-40 degrees) and/or warm areas (over 100 degrees)
- Ability to work in an environment that is wet and humid
- Ability to work while wearing a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes
- Ability to work in a noisy environment using personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work around strong smells/odors
- Ability to climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways and platforms
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift
- Ability to walk long distances
- Ability to meet specific certifications during the qualification period
- Ability to perform repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs
- Ability to perform single lifting of heavy objects which can weigh up to 60 lbs
- Ability to lift objects using mechanical assistance
