Job Summary
RAC Funding Assessor – perform Residential Aged Care Funding Assessments across the Fitzroy region using the AN-ACC tool. Conduct resident and staff interviews, review health records, and triangulate data to classify funding levels. Part-time role (3 days/week) with travel across the designated region, training provided, and opportunities to travel across the state/country. Requires 5+ years post-registration clinical experience in aged care and qualifications in Nursing, Physiotherapy, or Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration. Strong communication, independence, and teamwork skills; own vehicle with comprehensive insurance for travel.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ post registration clinical experience across aged care sector
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- Current unrestricted General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated Australian aged care experience, including working with people with dementia
- Demonstrated experience conducting clinical assessments using a range of assessment tools
- Proven ability to engage older Australians and stakeholders in residential facilities
- Ability to follow direction, work independently and as part of a team
- High degree of self-motivation
- Ability to locum travel across the designated region to undertake assessments and provide support to other regions if/as needed.
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills, with a variety of stakeholders including consumers, families, and managers
- Your own vehicle with comprehensive insurance as travel will be required within your region.
